Das Leben im Taj Wellington Mews ist wirklich nett. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet und wir haben sie mit mitgebrachten und neu gekauften Sachen annähernd in ein richtiges Zuhause verwandelt.

Den verbrachten Paul und ich nämlich direkt in der Krankenhausnotaufnahme. Bei der ganzen Kofferaus- und Schrankeinpackerei ist er so wuschig geworden, dass er letztlich nur noch wie irre rumgetobt ist. Das Ende vom Lied war, dass er so unglücklich vom Bett auf den Parkettboden gerutscht ist, dass er kurz ausgenockt war. Das Team vom Hotel hat gleich einen Generalstab von 3 Angestellten als Eskorte ins Krankenhaus mitgeschickt. Im Nachhinein echt übertrieben. In der Situation war ich aber schon froh, dass die mir alles abgenommen haben. Vom Krankenhaus selber kann ich gar nicht viel erzählen. Ich war so damit beschäftigt, einerseits Paul zu beruhigen und abzulenken und ihn andererseits von den neugierigen Indern abzuschirmen. Selbst mit übelstem Hautausschlag oder mit löchrigem Mundschutz versehene Menschen wollten ihm im Vorübergehen wohlwollend in die Wange zu kneifen. Man kann sich nicht vorstellen, wie dreckig und zerlumpt die Menschen mitunter hier sind. Alle sind aber super freundlich und interessiert. Da kommt man sich schon auch doof vor, wenn man denen sein Kind so wegreißt. Andererseits weiß ich nicht, wie umfassend unser Impfschutz tatsächlich ist. Auf solche Krankheiten wie TBC, Krätze, Läuse... bin ich auch nicht scharf. Mit Paul war dann alles ok; er war nur völlig erschöpft und gestresst. Eine Überreaktion. Toller Start!!!
Unser erster Aufenthalt am Pool war ähnlich ereignisreich. Paul hat sich gleich bei allen bekannt gemacht. Vor lauter Aufregung hat er nämlich vergessen, dass er keine Windel anhat. Und was soll ich sagen: Fünf Minuten später sah man am Pool zwei mit Käschern bewaffnete Männer nach den groben Stücken fischen, während wir uns angemessen beschämt aus dem Bild geschlichen haben und die Filteranlage auf Hochtouren lief. Aber wir wären nicht in Indien - dem Heimatland der "pestcontrol" - wenn nicht kurze Zeit später der Pool im neuen Glanz erstrahlt wäre. Das einzige, was die Poolboys nicht in den Griff bekommen haben, waren zwei tote Fischchen, die wohl eine der 500 Krähen, mit denen wir uns täglich um unsere Nachmittagskekse prügeln, reingeschleppt haben. Wir denken lieber nicht an die Vogelgrippe.
Aber ein Gutes hatte der Auftritt. Paul braucht keine Windel mehr! Ich habe ihm eingebläut, mir ja immer bescheid zu sagen, wenn was kommt. Es klappt bis auf nachts hervorragend. Mit einem Stolz, den ich eindeutig seinem Y-Chromosom zuschreiben möchte, kommentiert er jeden Toilettengang mit Motivationsgesängen, die jeden Hooligan beeindrucken würden, ergänzt durch teilweise recht bildhafte Beschreibungen: "Oh was eine RIESENportion" oder "Schau mal Mami ich hab eine "1" gemacht". Auch an Phantasie scheint es ihm nicht zu mangeln, heute kam: "Guck mal, ein Hubschrauber!".
Das eigentliche Einleben hier ist uns leicht gefallen. Mit uns wohnen noch zwei deutsche Familien (3 Kinder: 2, 4 und 8 Jahre) und eine Dreier-WG von Uhde hier im Haus. Am Pool und im Kinderraum haben wir darüber hinaus nette internationale Kontakte geknüpft. "Wir haben doch Konrad" (Seine Babypuppe, benannt nach einem Krabbelgruppenkumpel). Nein, nein, mit Zoe ist das anders. Das ist die erste, echte Liebe!!!
